Clickers, whistles, long lines, muzzles and visibility gear.

Training tools are cues, not commands. A whistle only recalls a dog that has already learned what the whistle means; a clicker only marks a behavior you are already rewarding. Buying either without the ten minutes a day is buying an object.

Long lines are for open ground with no obstacles. Gloves, never wrapped around your hand, and not near other dogs.

Muzzles need saying plainly. The strap-style muzzles we stock hold the mouth closed, so a dog cannot pant, and panting is how dogs cool themselves. They are for short, supervised use — a vet visit, a nail trim — never a warm-weather walk. For anything longer, buy a basket muzzle a dog can pant, drink and take treats through, and train it properly. That is not a product we sell, and it is still the right answer.

Reactivity and anxiety are work for your vet or a behaviorist. Hardware manages a moment; it does not treat a cause.
