Beds, hammocks, caves and window perches for cats. Cats choose a bed by warmth, height and how enclosed it feels, not by how it looks in the room.
Match it to how your cat sleeps. A cat that curls tight wants a round nest, measured curled plus about 10 cm. A cat that hides wants a cave or covered bed — check they can turn around and get out easily, and keep it out of direct sun, since an enclosed bed heats up faster than an open one. A cat that watches the world wants height: a window hammock or a raised perch.
On window perches: suction needs clean, smooth, room-temperature glass, and it will not hold on textured, frosted or filmed windows. Press each cup for 30 seconds, test it with your own hand, and re-seat monthly. If your windows are treated, a floor bed by the window gives your cat the same view.
Introducing a new bed: put a blanket that already smells of your cat on it and feed treats there for a few days. Cats accept a surface once it smells like them.
