How we choose what we sell

Kindopet is a small, curated shop. Every order ships tracked from the maker's warehouse; we don't repack or mark up on the way. So the thing we spend our time on is what makes the shelf. Here is the bar every product has to clear before it is listed, and the reasons a product gets removed.

What every product has to clear

  • It has to be light enough to ship safely. We list nothing over 1.5 kg unless it can travel through our heavy-item route, and we tell you on the product page when that applies.
  • It has to arrive in a reasonable time. A product only makes the shelf if the quoted route to the United States is 14 business days or less. The arrival window on each product page is computed from that quote plus 1–3 days of packing.
  • It has to be a product other shops already trust. We only list items that several stores already sell and that have real stock behind them, so you are not the test.
  • It has to be photographed properly. At least three clear images, and the first one shows the product alone. If the only photos are collages with text, we do not list it.
  • It has to be priced honestly. Everything sits between $19.99 and $79.99. Our price is set from the real landed cost (the product, its freight and packaging), so a $20 item is a $20 item, not a $3 item with a story.

What we deliberately do not sell

No shock, prong or choke devices. No food, treats, supplements or medication. No flea and tick chemicals, sprays, liquids or shampoos. No lithium batteries or power banks. No custom or logo items, no seasonal costumes, and nothing for small animals, birds, reptiles or fish. Some of these are excluded because they cannot travel safely by post; some because we would not give them to our own pets.

How a product leaves the shelf

Every day we re-check stock and freight quotes. If a product's cost rises past our bar, the product is repriced or retired. If a product runs out, it comes off the site the same day rather than staying up as "in stock". If you tell us something arrived broken or not as described, we look at the product, not just the order.

What we still owe you

We are new and we have no reviews yet. We email every buyer a few days after delivery and publish what comes back, unedited. Until then, what you see on a product page is the specification, the delivery promise and our reason for picking it. Nothing else is invented.
