For dogs that go through toys. Nothing here is indestructible, and we do not use that word — every chew toy is a consumable with a lifespan.
What lasts longer: solid rubber and TPR over plush, one-piece over stitched, and a size your dog cannot fit fully into their mouth. Ropes and plush are for supervised play with a determined chewer, not for leaving down.
What to watch: replace a toy once the surface splits or chunks come off, and take rope toys away as soon as they fray — swallowed strands can cause a blockage that needs surgery.
Redirect as well as replace. A dog that destroys toys quickly is often under-exercised or bored rather than badly behaved. A stuffed puzzle feeder before you leave the house does more than a tougher toy.
