How to choose
Beds, mats, houses and blankets for cats and dogs. The choice usually comes down to how your pet sleeps: curled into a corner, sprawled flat, or hidden away where nobody can see them.
| If your pet… | Look at | Watch for |
|---|---|---|
| Curls up tight, nose to tail | Round nests, donut beds, moon pillows | Measure them curled, then add about 10 cm |
| Sprawls out flat | Mattress pads, sofa beds, flat mats | Measure nose to tail base while they lie on their side, then add 15–20 cm |
| Hides under things | Enclosed houses, caves, tents | Check they can turn around and get out easily, and keep it out of direct sun — an enclosed bed heats up faster than an open one |
| Wants to be up high | Window hammocks, raised perches | Suction needs clean, smooth, room-temperature glass; it will not hold on textured or filmed windows |
| Is old, stiff, or slow to get up | Low-sided beds, memory foam, self-warming mats | A high bolster is a wall to a dog with sore hips |
Two practical things worth knowing before you buy. Washability decides it for most people, so check whether the cover comes off or the whole bed goes in the machine. And a bed is not a chew toy: if your pet opens seams, take it away rather than leaving the filling accessible.
Sizes, materials and washing instructions are on every product page, and every order ships tracked with its arrival window shown. Wrong size? One photo and we send the right one, with nothing to ship back.
