Playing safely
- Count the balls in and out. At 3 cm these are a swallow and choking hazard for a cat, and they roll under furniture. Collect them at the end of every session
- Never fire toward your cat's face — aim along the floor or away, so the ball behaves like prey moving off rather than something coming at them
- Put the launcher and the balls away between sessions, out of reach
- Let your cat catch the ball at the end. A hunt that never ends in a catch leaves them wound up rather than satisfied
