For anxious cats

For a cat that hides, startles easily, or over-grooms. The gear helps, but it works as part of a set-up rather than on its own.

What actually helps, in order: somewhere enclosed to hide, somewhere high to watch from, resources spread out rather than crowded into one corner, and predictable short play sessions. The AAFP and ISFM feline environmental needs guidelines describe those as essential rather than optional, and they matter more than any single product.

Then the products: covered beds and caves, window perches, tunnels, and quiet toys a cat can use alone.

When it is not the environment. A cat that suddenly starts hiding, stops eating, or over-grooms a patch bare is worth a vet visit before a shopping list — pain and illness look a lot like anxiety from the outside.
